Thornbridge Brewery and Rotary Jaipur Limb

The Heritage of Thornbridge Brewery
Thornbridge branded beers were first brewed in early 2005 after the establishment of a 10 barrel brewery in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall. The initial focus was on a range of cask beers that used traditional recipes but provided a modern twist through the use of a wide range of hops, malts and the innovation and passion of the brewing team. After winning a succession of awards ( they have now won over 350 national and international awards)  a new, state of the art brewery and bottling line was opened at Bakewell in September 2009 to meet with demand and increase their range of beers.

Jaipur Ale

One of the ales brewed by Thornbridge is an India Pale Ale. The immediate impression of this wonderful multi award winning India Pale Ale is soft and smooth but this builds around the mouth to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. This ale has had phenomenal success, becoming the flagship of Thornbridge.

Bid For A Jaipur Brew Day

On the 5th June this year Thornbridge will be brewing Jaipur at their Hall brewery and this is an opportunity for ale fans to join them and celebrate the anniversary brew. As well as getting involved in the brew day they will also meet the brew team, have a tour of the Hall Gardens and the Hall itself. And after a buffet lunch with beer tasting, a chance to have a personal guided tour of the Riverside brewery. During 2015 we are looking to support a number of charities one of which is the Rotary Jaipur Limb project, which aims to help tens of thousands of people who suffer as a result of amputated or deformed limbs, and have limited access to healthcare. A Jaipur Limb for a small cost can transform people’s lives. To help fundraise for the Jaipur Limb campaign they are offering fans a chance to join the Jaipur brew by making an “auction bid” that will be for them and a friend to join the brew day as described above. 100% of the winning bid will be donated to the Jaipur Limb fund. To enter a bid simply email by the 30th April and they will announce the winner in early May.
