When her second husband, John Webb, died in 2005, Margaret was invited to join his Rotary Club of Harlow and to take over his role as Secretary and Trustee of Rotary Jaipur Limb. She was President of Harlow Rotary Club from 2008-2009 but subsequently transferred to the Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford, her home town. From 1988 to 1999, Margaret worked for BAA at Stansted Airport, firstly as PA to the Retail Director and then as PA to the Managing Director.  Margaret joined Inner Wheel in 1973. She has been President of the Inner Wheel Club of Bishop’s Stortford three times, was Chairman of District 24 from 2002-2003 and Member of Council (thus serving on the Association Governing Body) from 2006-2009.  From 2003 until her retirement in 2015, Margaret was a Local Magistrate and was an Adult and Youth Panel Chairman in Chelmsford Court.  Her main interest has always been music. Following six years of vocal training, she played musical theatre, opera and oratorio lead solo roles over many years and continues to perform today. Margaret enjoys gardening, painting, writing and spending time with her grandchildren.
